The Training Room

Last week we had to say goodbye to a Training Room staple. There are simply no words to describe what Bess (aka BC, aka BC-cleta) has meant to the clinic over these last few years. She was a Joy to work with and not someone you can easily replace. She told countless stories from her years abroad and never hesitated to give words of encouragement or wisdoms well beyond her years. She was the clinics old soul and we’ll miss her dearly. When someone this special leaves, it’s not goodbye, it’s we’ll see you later. Thank you for everything, Bess, and good luck running your own show!

Firstly, there were many outstanding patients deserving of this award. We are incredibly thankful for all of those who made this decision so challenging. With that being said... We would like to announce The Training Room’s 2020 Rehab Player of the Year to a well deserving recipient - Angelina The Italian Stallion Perritano! She has had a long and challenging journey, undergoing two ACL reconstructions and a third meniscus surgery. Through that, however, she never wavered, has always arrived ready to work, and demonstrated a maturity well beyond her years. Like the namesake of her nickname, she was relentless in her effort, kind hearted, and just a beast of an athlete. It has been our pleasure to work with her. Earlier this week we had to say goodbye to a Training Room staple. After multiple surgeries many would have thrown in the towel, but not Angelina here, she’s made of different stuff. She’s nicknamed the Italian Stallion for a reason. She put her head down and came to work every visit. for Alessio on completing his ACL recovery! This dirt bike racer came to us after his injury in Belgium and now 7 months later he is headed to Florida to begin training. His work ethic at The Training Room was unmatched (sometimes he worked out a little too hard..) and now it has paid off!

We are so excited to finally meet Brooklynn Elle! So excited to see Shaunie and her new baby. Shaunie will always be a part of The Training Room fam. And Brooklynn now has several new aunts and uncles.

When the masks are off, you’d be hard pressed to find someone with a bigger and more genuine smile than Alberto here. He possesses a quiet confidence and maturity that far exceeds his age. Don’t let his soft spoken and gentle demeanor fool you, though. This is a guy who is relentless and driven. He’s been with us for about 8 months, but came prepared to work every single visit. Granite Hills alumni have officially taken over The Training Room. It started with our founder and director, Rick, it grew with the addition of Austin, and over the last few years, a multitude of our patients have proudly called themselves Eagles. Although we were unable to get them all pictured, this guy was willing to partake in a photo op. This is Joe, an ex-Eagle, a New England Patriot, and more importantly, a service member in the United States Navy. His story is great, ...it is unique, and it is worth a Google search.
