The need for skilled trades continues to grow as the "silver tsunami" wipes out a significant portion of the workforce. To keep our housing and infrastructure moving forward we need to recruit more people to the trades. Not just construction, but all skilled trades. If you're in the trades now, be that voice. Tell your trades career journey story to a high school student. We need skilled trades' voices to be loud and proud and heard. They're probably not hearing "skilled trades careers" from their teachers or counselors. Being heard over the "everyone must go to college" mantra feels like an insurmountable job. But it can be done.
