The Station

Today is the 3 Year Anniversary of @thestationcamp closing I’ll never forget this moment when the camp sign came down on April 30,2018. I gasped for air when they lifted it up, and I felt my heart drop for a moment. But I brushed away the tears, and pushed through one of the hardest days of my life. For 10 years, I shared with our campers, Always look for the glimpse of hope! Now, here I was entering another season where I would need to do the same ... Hope is always there, ready to be found. Sometimes we just don’t see it because we let disappointment block our view. I had to ferociously fight to catch a glimpse the past 3 years. Hope kept revealing itself. A year ago everyone on earth encountered a global pandemic. I soon realized that God closed The Station doors to protect me, my family and the nonprofit camp, from so much stress and financial hardship. We couldn’t run a camp in the midst of COVID19, and God knew that!! Today, I am beyond grateful to Jesus for protecting our future I will never forget this day on April 30th, the day I walked away from my dream at The Station... but I will always remember how God took such good care of us!! Today, while thinking about incredible memories from a decade, where I got to experience living in my dream, I heard the Lord speak to my heart... March On! March On! There are more beautiful things to see! Yes! There is ALWAYS HOPE!!
