The Why of it All (Redemption Update) Drive-In Church #tsgchurchfresno

Think about it God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did Romans 4:17 This is a reference to Abraham and God’s promise to make him a father of many nations. Early in Abraham’s life God called him to follow him, and if he chose to, the Lord would bless him all of his days and yes, make him the father of many nations.... Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah 90 when God’s promise came to bare, estimated to be at least 25 years from God’s promising Isaac and producing Him in their lives. Lives I might add, that our society would (and I think we would) have counted out as dead to new life as nonexistent for new life. As we move into 2021 I’d like to encourage you with these same words, because your God, found in the trinity of Father/Son?Spirit, your God has a track record of miraculously producing life from the dead and making the impossible possible for those who will choose to follow Him for the long run. Pray about it Lord I pray for Your perfect will and kingdom be done in our lives today, that we would submit to Your plan for our lives for 2021 and keep You at the forefront of all that we do, we say, we think and plan. May we like Abraham and Sarah be open to seeing more of the miraculous life You are producing in the church family and in us. In Jesus name amen!! Be about it Take the advice of the farmer who lives like he is getting a crop before he actually reaps the crop. You may not see anything on the surface today but that doesnt mean the Lord isn’t setting roots for what He is going to birth and produce in due season, be like Abraham and Sarah and keep the soil of your heart tilled and amended to receive His miracle.

Whatever Today Brings Think about it Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.... As the world waits for the presidential election results I am reminded of One Whose election was of His Father before time itself, for the saving of many lives. We can take our assurance not in the uncertainty of institutions of men but in our eternal Savior Jesus Christ yesterday, today, and forever. The Gaither’s wrote a song that speaks to this truth better than me this morning Because He Lives, and the chorus goes: Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living, just because He lives Because our Lord in heaven lives yesterday, today and forever I can face whatever comes today, tomorrow or in the future without fear for I know He holds my tomorrow in His hands.That He has a plan to bless my life in Him here on earth and then to bring me home to be with Him when this leg of my race is done. Pray about it Lord I do not know what today will bring but I know You to be the One who holds it in Your hand. In the midst of this election process help me to lean on You and not the world for my assurances and hope, after all this world is passing behind us as we move closer to the realization of coming home to be with You. Help me to be a bold ambassador for the kingdom showing Your love to the world. In Jesus name amen Be about it Don't fall into stinking thinking but keep your mind set upon the Lord’s promises for His children knowing that God being the same yesterday, today, and forever already knows the results and has won them for you and me at the cross; we are victors in Him!

While You Wait Think About it James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. ... Flip the script for living James says you don’t get it because you don’t, Get it. You ask God for things that would bring you pleasure and not Him. Kind of like a bubble gum machine, every kid is attracted to them. They see them on the way in and out of the store and they want one. So easy to drop your coins in twist the handle and wa- lah. You know that gum loses its flavor in about 3 minutes every time ends up on bottom of someone’s shoe. Jesus doesn't dispense blessings like that Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him. Jesus doesn’t want a drop in when you need something relationship with you and me. He wants it to be so much more. He acts for those who wait for Him... consistently waiting/serving Him with their daily lives with expectancy for His return. Pray about it Spend time in your prayer closet and ask the Lord what it is that your present circumstances can do to bring pleasure to Him. Ask the Lord how you can wait/serve Him going through this, and what it is, He’d want you to know or experience. Then ask Him to help you to do it or learn it. Be about it What is it that I can spend (of myself) that will be pleasing to Jesus this week? May I suggest that you go public with your faith, let the light of your lifestyle shine before your world that it would draw others to Jesus. Proclaim His name in your conversations so others would know the reason for your lifestyle.
