I wish I can stand in this rain and wash off the month of January 2020. We came 12/31/19 for a 3 to 6 day say MAX it’s been 27. We see the finish line though.

Ask Bobby Soto and Miguel Brooks what mail does for those who dont have the support. Please what’s 10 minutes an envelope and a stamp. As Deputy Watts discovered last week, giving someone your time, an ear or a shoulder to lean on can make a huge difference in a person’s life. Last week on a chilly and drizzly morning, while driving from Vallejo to Fairfield, Deputy Watts spotted the silhouette of a man standing on the center edge of the Hiddenbrooke Parkway overpass on Interstate 80. Deputy Watts felt this was odd, due to the time of morning and weather conditions. He continued driving under and past the o...verpass, as the silhouette of the man standing in place sank further into his rear view mirror. After seeing this, Deputy Watts put out the information to dispatch and his partners, found the nearest turn around point and immediately drove back to check on the man. When he arrived, the man remained standing in place against the rail, overlooking the busy traffic below. Thankfully, it just so happened these two mens paths crossed that morning. You see, Deputy Watts is an experienced deputy, with an extensive collegiate background in psychology. Additionally, Deputy Watts is tactically proficient, he carries an array of tools, on his tactical vest & belt to handle any tactical situation that could arise. However, on this particular morning Deputy Watts used his best tools, which were his "gift to gab" and "opened ears" to listen. Deputy Watts exited his car, stood on the bridge in the cold and spent several minutes talking with the man, who was initially very guarded and visibly distraught. After several minutes, Deputy Watts and the man began talking about similarities, such as life, cars, girls, future goals and family. Within ten to fifteen minutes, the man's tears faded and the two men even shared several laughs together. After a few final minutes standing on the center of the bridge, the man finally agreed to step away from the railing walk away from the center of the overpass and get in the deputy’s cruiser to drive somewhere safe to talk. After leaving the bridge, the two men continued to talk and discuss options moving forward. During their conversation Deputy Watts was able to offer and connect the man with several professional services and we are grateful and thankful

Chief Reece here! Thank you! Thank you to the volunteers who showed up to my Call to Service on August 18th. ... There were parents of graduates and graduates as well as parents of current cadets and mentors! The HOPE Family Shelters has an amazing mission that we were proud to support. Tonight I was assisted by 10 current cadets (5 Vikings and 5 Titans) as well as a residential graduate. We finished planting flowers and a irrigation drip system that was donated by the family of a Graduate from last class. Service to the Community is one of our 8 Core Components at the academy.
