And now, the answer you have all been waiting for... Sewage flows (or is pumped... location, location, location) to sewage treatment plants where the solid matter is separated and then removed. The remaining effluent is treated and left to settle. It is then pumped to reuse customers including golf courses and landscape water utility companies.

Food for thought... If you are at the beach (was this weekend) and use the restroom (yep did that too) and all drains lead to the ocean (thanks Disney and Nemo); where does all the paper and... stuff... go? I'll answer tomorrow!
