The Penny Ice Creamery

Dear Friends, For 10 years we have worked hard to be a place of gathering and to support community interaction. I remember the first time, after only being open a few days, that I witnessed two people run into each other at The Penny. "You know about this place too?" they both said as their faces lit up. That moment and the thousands like it that have followed are what has sustained me in this business, both in the shops and through our participation in a multitude of communi...ty events over the years. Now we are facing a moment when only by physically distancing ourselves from each other can we be responsible to the health and safety of our community, our staff and our families. We must pause and consider how we can fulfill our mission of creating connection through the enjoyment of delicious locally made ice cream in a way that is responsible to the greatest number of people. The health and safety of you, our staff, our families and our community is the most important thing to us. Right now the Penny family is blessed to be healthy and we want to keep everyone that way. The Penny will be closed today, Monday March 16th, as we work on a plan. We will post updates on our website, Facebook and Instagram and we thank you for your understanding.
