The IRS has finally followed suit with extended the deadline to file. You will now have until July 15, to file and or pay your taxes.

The IRS has extended the time to PAY not file. If you are someone who generally owes the IRS, they are extended that time to July 15th. You are still required to file your tax return by the deadline of April 15th. They are only extending the time to pay your taxes if you owe. We at The Tax Place understand that severity of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and would like to give you options to file your return. Franchise Tax Board (FTB) has just extended the deadline for all tax returns. The extended due date is June 15th. This extension is also for anyone who pays estimated taxes.
