Monterey Bay Antique & Vintage Market Under New Ownership, A Full 2020 Schedule In The Works My name is Steven Kittrell, and I am the new owner of Monterey Bay Antiques & Vintage Market. This letter to you, past vendors and patrons of the market, is to introduce myself and tell you of the plans I have for the long-term future of this event. Warren has chosen me to be the steward and carry on his creation through the new decade, which is right around the corner. My plans for ...the future include new dedicated advertising and marketing, getting the word out to the State of California and beyond (as we have many visitors from around the world who visit our special community year round), and to build this event into something that will generate many customers for you, the vendor. I plan to continue the tradition of "Antique and Vintage" at our events, and your area will be designated for that only. The hard work accumulating your items, traveling and selling to make your profits are understood and are my priority. The Monterey Bay is special, upscale and educated and I aim to court our locals to create a fun environment for all. A little bit about myself I’ve been a Monterey resident for over 13 years and have loved every moment of it. It’s here where I’ve raised my two daughters Ava (9) and Harlow (12) who have such a great appreciation for life on the Peninsula. My background is in vintage, classic and sports cars and I’m the founder of Veloce Valuations; an accredited appraisal and consulting firm under the American Society of Appraisers. With my training and studies, I have made many friends and contacts with appraisers of antiques, which may help you at some point if needed. My business and passions are based off nostalgia, where their pins drop on the timeline and of course, what they are worth. Along with that, I run the marketing and business operations for a local classic car dealer, Mohr Imports. I am a freelance print and online journalist for a dozen magazines and social outlets, plus I manage a collection of 25 classic cars, along with organizing power lunches and automotive events all over the state. Personally, I collect automobilia such as vintage gas cans, rally badges, tools and parts, posters and artwork along with a constantly expanding collection of books. Stay tuned for the confirmation of 2020 dates as well as a welcoming social event I’m putting on prior to the first event in January.
