THE INDUSTRY Dance Academy welcomes our newest faculty member, MADDI BURG! We couldn’t be more honored as Maddi’s artistic, passionate, and focused teaching and mentoring abilities are stellar! Kids, get ready to WORK, be INSPIRED, and CHALLENGED this upcoming 2020/21 season. HEAD TO OUR WEBSITE NOW AND REGISTER (Link in bio) ... Maddison started dancing when she was 3 years old. She finished her competition years as Miss Adrenaline 2010 and is proud to be starting her 10th year on staff with first Adrenaline Dance Convention and now Revive Dance Convention. She was a founding member of Westside Dance Project under the direction of Jessie Hartley, she was a member of Soul Escape the Company for 3 years under the direction of Justin Giles, and she is a current member of Feemove Dance Company under the direction of Jenn Freeman. Maddison just returned from a yearlong training program with the Hubbard Street Pre-Professional Company where she had the opportunity to train with Alexandra Wells, Peter Chu, Ryan Mason, Sarah Cullen Fuller, Meredith Dincolo, Rena Butler, Adam Barruch, and David Northsworthy. Maddison’s TV credits include The Cleaner, Victorious, & a Ubi Soft Commercial for Just Dance 2. Maddison travels around the country teaching award winning choreography to various studios in addition to guest classes. She has a gift and passion for teaching that is evident in her classes and her choreographyshe brings the very best out in all of her dancers. See more

Whoops - UCLA!!! So proud of you and the Journey you are about to embark on at UCLA. You will forever have a home with us Your fondest memory:... My favorite Industry memory is from my first year joining company. A few of us went to Housten, Texas in the spring for convention and competition. That was probably my favorite dance trip ever because we all stayed together and got to bond. My favorite memory specifically was when we all snuck into the hotel pool after classes and had a big laugh. Your advice to young Dancers: My advice for younger dancers is to keep working hard and never give up. As I got older, dance became more difficult to manage with other activities and schoolwork. I faced many obstacles and had to make numerous choices on where I wanted to spend my time. It was not easy to keep dancing competitively until graduation and yet I continued to make certain sacrifices so that I could be a member of the Industry Dance Company because I really loved it. It is not easy to do this sport but if it is your passion, you must fight to be a part of it. My future plans begin with the end of my journey here at the Industry. I am going to be a member of the UCLA class of 2024 where I plan to get a bachelor's degree in political science. While a professional dance career is not my path, I will continue to be involved in dance recreationally as I am planning to join a dance team at UCLA. I eventually plan on pursuing a juris doctorate upon completion of law school. It is my hope to bring dance with me wherever my future adventures may take me. See more
