San Diego Youth Pheasant Day. It was an honor to be a part of this great event. There is little to equal the joy expressed by new young hunters after a day of Wilderness Survival, Trap Shooting, Archery, Dog handling, Turkey calling and more! Well done hunters!

When do we begin preparing for fall hunting season? NOW! Spent the day sighting in a few of the rifles this weekend with the boys. Scopes were sighted t 200 yards shooting at 25 yard targets. Not satisfied until each firearm was hitting one inch billete groupings. Also built and tried out new plate targets with varying results. (See the pics) Then for fun we went all the way out to 800 yards.

Not cool. I understand, not everyone supports hunting, but when did vandalism become okay simply because you don't agree with something. Really?!?!?.

Student nabs first ever Quail !! This young man was so enthusiastic in my class and he has carried that enthusiasm into the field !! I'll be watching for his first Big Game take ! Great work and thank you so much for sharing your success with me !
