Some got pretty choked up. Some needed to talk. So, I paused, gave eye contact and listened. Many are exhausted, working 12 hour shifts/ day. ...Continue reading

Yesterday I found a new love! My first time playing the gong. I have a new season sprouting...maybe a ways off but I am called to using sound some day in healing. Our vibrational energy is powerful. Be blessed! I hope!! Praying for you and yours!

I am BEYOND stoked to announce my SOLO EXHIBITION / TEACHING CREDENTIAL FUNDRAISER at Black Umbrella Tattoo and Art Gallery!!!!! This show is my celebration o...f completing my Drawing and Painting undergraduate degree at CSULB. I’ll be showing art I’ve done for the past 8 YEARS...from the beginning of high school and all through college! This show is a really big deal for me. My artwork is my story, and we’re about to see it in chronological order, all in ONE place! In addition, all work will be for sale, and funds will be going directly towards my teaching credential tuition costs. My next step in life is teaching little people how to paint!!! Please come celebrate with me on our opening night, Friday March 27 from 6-9PM! I I am SOOOO excited!!! The more the merrier!!!!! All information is in the flyer below, PLEASE share this post! HUGE thanks to Krystin Gibson and Kurtis Gibson for opening up their beautiful space and hosting this event with me!

Ash Wednesday There are ashes falling like burned up cigarette trash corpses incinerated... in the palm of our hands. We like to mark others, sadistically categorize and label, delight in watching as they burn. How many stitches does it take to make a letter stay scarlet? emblazoned on a chest Or a six pointed star with one too many and David praying to yellow in age to reach the golden years valuable as talents announcing the chosen one We mark others, to embarrass and segregate separate having nothing to offer us the piercing thorny crown a jester’s gift to make Him bleed for us by us we watch refusing to wash away There is always filth under nails. And today we burn palm fronds reverently saved from last year’s Easter There is beauty in salvation. Forty days of counting obedience perfected in wailing, moaning in desert walks feeling abandoned and all alone trumpets and manna or Noah on the sea And me, here, once again annually on my knees that are much too soft from lack of usage rubbed with oil removing any recollection no mark of faith I often chose to walk or stand breathing in my nicotine daily filling my lungs with smoke screens asking today for my cross of ashy smudge trying to offer up everything and repentance from dust I have come and here I do remain so often trashy announcing the chosen one who waits as we burn wanting nothing more than togetherness to hold our hands and stand alongside exactly as we are forgiveness wanting and waiting to carry us home There’s always filth under nails.
