As of 4 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 6, candidates Jay Vandenburg and Kevin Papineau appear to have secured seats on the Galt City Council. The next closest candidate trails Papineau by 767 votes. In the Galt elementary school board race, which runs in two counties, Traci Skinner and Casey Raboy continue to increase their lead over the third place candidate. The Galt high school district race may be still too close to call. While Terry Parker leads the pack by well over 1,000 vo...tes, securing her a seat on the board, candidate Pat Maple leads candidate Daniel Denier by a mere 150 votes. The two school district races are determined by voters in both Sacramento and San Joaquin counties. San Joaquin County is expect to publishes another update at 9 p.m. tonight, however Sacramento County will not be updating again until next Tuesday, Nov. 10.
