This is an image from the Salton Sea in the 1950s. Today the Salton Sea is in critical condition. The G3Foundation is asking for donations to raise awareness of the issue and develop a long-term solution with major environmental and socio-economic benefits.

Hello Team G3; Currently we have 23 cyclists registered with USA Cycling for the year 2017. Awesome. We also now have over 1,000 Facebook followers. Double awes...ome. Our first big get together race will be the Roger Milliken Memorial race in Brea on Sunday the 12th of February. We will donate entires to all willing members, food, drinks, music and a home away from home tent set up for you to hang out and share the day. Please share with Mike Michael J Carro your intent to race, and he will coordinate your entry in 1 or more races. We have arranged with the promotors that we will help provide individuals for work detail (2 hour shift) and a minimum of $500 of prime donations as good will and support of this great race. I have a big history with Roger Millikan and his family and always treated this race as the first of the year. Willows Road Race was the other for those with history from the past. Please inform me if you can help work on this day, or if you have any donations to offer for this race. I suppose gift giving will work in this situation. Finally, TheG3Foundation has been making great progress with the powers that be regarding the Salton Sea and it's rejuvenation. Our next step is both a written white paper document and a Video that explains the current environmental disaster, the past in reference to how we got here, and how we can fix it. TheG3Foundation has just donated the full $700 required for the Dayxxx Well Project in Senegal. http://watercharity.com/archive/201612 Problem Addressed... The primary issue within Dayxxx is the lack of protected, improved water available spaces in which one can farm. Throughout the Senegalese gardening season, there is alternatively either not enough water to consistently garden, or there is not sufficient protection against roaming livestock. Dayxxx Well Project - Senegal During the busy rainy and cool seasons, women and children wake up before daybreak to walk to the fields to spend the entire day, to ensure animals do not destroy their produce. This a large time commitment to protect their fields, day after day, coupled with the low availability of spaces with a water source often leads to lower productivity, and subpar levels of nutrition within Dayxxx. The Women’s Group of Dayxxx is one of the most motivated groups in the village, yet they lack any space to collectively garden. Empowering this group is a strong step towards ameliorating this situation.

In 2013, Ryan Alonzo representing the G3Foundation visited Uganda to document a community in their efforts to get water, and then to witness a water well that w...e funded. Here is a video of how they where getting water prior to the water well construction, from open channels in fields exposed to livestock and other seriously contaminated sources. See more
