"ALL ABOARD!" On Thursday, September 10, 2020, we hosted our Marketing event, "Cruise The Forum." It was so nice to see everyone's masked faces and smiling eyes. Following all health and safety protocols, this event was a no contact, self-guided, drive-through tour which showcased our beautiful campus, the new villas, and all of the wonderful experiences The Forum has to offer! Headed by our Cruise Captain, Nancy Kao, there were 7 ports where passengers would dock momentarily for a fun and informative visit, then pick up a cool Forum souvenir. We all had a great time!
The Forum's Gazette is an amazing magazine published monthly and run by our residents. This month's issue had a wonderful and uplifting article entitled "Lemonade from Lemons", which asked our residents if they had any experiences that seemed to be "lemons" but turned into "lemonade". Mrs. Stella Karras wrote: When I graduated from college with a B.S. in chemistry, I set out applying for a job as a technician. My interviews ended with some version of "very qualified, but y...ou will probably leave us to get married after we train you." That would be illegal today, but back then it was tossed as a compliment. The only job offer I got was in a biochemistry lab at Northwestern University's medical school. I accepted, considering it a temporary stop-gap job. A medical student who sat beside me in a biochemistry class I had to audit said, "Are you Stella? I'm Gus." That lemonade was so sweet it is still with me. Do you have an experience that turned lemons into lemonade? Please share them in the comments below. See more

The Forum is celebrating Aloha! Aloha oukou! E komo mai... Here at The Forum we are celebrating Aloha with fun, food & drinks! Aloha is the Hawaiian word for love, affection, peace, compassion and mercy, that is commonly used as a simple greeting. It also has a deeper cultural and spiritual significance to native Hawaiians, in which the term is used to define a force that holds together existence. What a perfect time to be celebrating Aloha! E pili mau na pomaika’I ia ‘oe.
