A little inspiration for your Saturday. Starting a doctorate program at age 34, it was difficult not to compare myself to my 22 year old classmates who came right out of undergrad with more energy and a longer career ahead of them. But I realized I am far better equipped to handle the stresses of this program at this age then I would have been at 22. That was not a good year for me. I also waited until I was 32 to have a baby. I’m glad I did because at 27 I was not in the place I wanted to be. I started a full-blown business at 35 WHILE in grad school. Everyone’s journey is their own and it’s true that it’s NEVER too late to make things better for yourself, so that you can enjoy the years ahead. #theforestsquadcollective #awizardarrivespreciselywhenhemeansto #inspiration
