So many thanks to Natalie for fixing me up! I was in so much pain today after a nagging pain in my piriformis flared up last night. She squeezed me in and fixed me right up. She had the preggo pillows all set up for my bump Can't wait to go back for a full body prenatal massage next week!

One of my OTF members asked about a whole chicken the other day. Well here ya go! Super simple, easy dinner. You bet I save all this chicken bones for bone broth. Also gotta give a shoutout to my girl Juli over at paleomg.com. Check her out! She not only has tons of awesome recipes, but posts her workouts, fashion, and has a hilariously explicit podcast. ... Can you tell the difference between these eggs? Notice the color of the yolk? Just want to talk about the quality of our food, specifically our eggs. Different labels, and categories can be confusing. You've got organic, cage-free, free-range, pasture raised, and probably some other misleading claims stamped on the package. More than likely, what you think you are getting is not quite what you'd hope for. In the US, there are no legal definitions for these terms. Human Farm A...nimal Care (HFAC) has set the standards for Free Range and Pasture Raised eggs that receive the "Certified Humane" label, which you should be looking for. Lets break some of this down: 1. "Organic" - the bird was uncaged (see #2) and fed a diet free from pesticides or fertilizers. 2. "Cage Free" - Simply put, the birds are not in cages. Instead there are thousands of birds confined in aviaries and will never see the outdoors. In many cases, the air quality is extremely poor and there is cannibalistic behavior. 3. "Free Range" - requires that the bird has "outdoor access". This requirement can simply be fulfilled by a "pop hole" with no full body outdoor access. There are no minimum space requirements defined by the USDA. HFAC's requirement is 2 sq. ft. per bird, and the birds must be outdoors 6 hours a day. 4. "Pasture Raised" - I wasn't able to find any USDA regulations for the term. However, HFAC (look for the Certified Humane stamp) requires 108 sq. ft. per bird. They are outdoors year around, and have access to proper shelter to protect themselves from weather and predators. With consistent access to the pasture, they eat a natural diet of greenery, worms, insects and seeds. *Vegetarian fed means they are fed an unnatural diet, therefore producing a less nutritional egg. In conclusion, here is why "Pasture Raised": Aside from the reasons stated above... The birds are happy and healthy, and produce a better for you egg: -One-third less cholesterol -One-quarter less saturated fat -Two-thirds more vitamin A -Two times the amount of omega-3's -Three times the amount of vitamin E -Seven times as much beta carotene (Study done by Mother Earth News) Buy pasture raised eggs with a Certified Humane stamp. Yes, they are more expensive. If you can't afford these, then buy the cheapest available. I buy Vital Farms eggs. The egg with the more orangey yolk is a vital farms egg. The lighter one is a Kirkland Organic egg (not certified humane, which means all claims on the package might as well be ignored). The darker the yolk, the higher it is in nutritional value. #pastureraised #vitalfarms

Staying motivated is hard. It's even harder when the life growing inside me is stealing all my blood and oxygen! It makes doing anything physical very challenging. I got winded going up and down the stairs quickly today. Even though I was very active before I got pregnant, most physical activity is very exhausting. That being said, my desire to workout has been, well, not there at all. I'm getting to OTF a little early to get a small workout in before I coach. Something is ...better than nothing, and our baby boy deserves it. I know I have a lot ahead of me that will challenge me even more, so I better start here. Cheers to not missing a Monday. Who's coming to see me tonight??!
