The City of San Diego is in the process of updating its Parks Master Plan and is holding public workshops to get input from residents. ...This is THE BEST way to lobby for new disc golf courses in the City of San Diego! Please consider attending one or more of these events and talking to as many city staffers in attendance as you can about how you feel we need more disc golf courses in our area. "I don't know what to say" you say? Here are a few tidbits: "Disc golf is a lifetime sport - it can be played by people ages 6 to 86." "Disc golf is inexpensive for new players - $8-10 for a new disc gets you started." "Disc golf is inexpensive for local governments to add - under $20k for 18 baskets, tee pads and tee signs." "Disc golf is simple to learn - throw the Frisbee, pick it up, throw it again until it's in the basket." If you live in the City of San Diego or in South County, carve out an hour or two to go to at least one of these workshops. I'm going to three or four!
