Thanks to our incredible Simi Valley Mobile Clinic staff and veterinarian, 246 cats were altered February 10-13, preventing hundreds of unwanted litters. With enough donations we hope to sponsor another clinic this Fall. Since January 2019 close to 1000 cats have been fixed. Such a need in Kern County!!
Our dear 14 year-old Spirit wishes everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day. Hug your kitty; life is precious. Spirit and her three elderly sisters lost their owner this winter.

Bakersfield City Cat Trappers: Funds for community/feral cats brought in by Bakersfield City residents have been exhausted. Feral/community cats brought to Crit...ters by city residents will be charged $60 per cat. We do not know when they will have additional funding. The county TNR program, for residents in unincorporated Kern County, will continue with no changes. Trappers will need to bring in proof of residency when bringing trapped cats for services.
