We wanted to remind everyone that The Canyon at Encino and The Canyon at Santa Monica are still open and helping patients in the Malibu area. If you or someone you know needs help, give us a call at (888) 371-5749. We are still working hard to find the best places to provide help to those who need it.

Update on The Canyon’s status and the Woolsey fire: We are all saddened by the unprecedented fire tragedies that have unfolded in California since late last week. Without much warning, the Woolsey fire erupted and consumed large swaths of land, including parts of Malibu surrounding The Canyon at Peace Park treatment center. There was not much time to evacuate the center but our wonderful staff carefully and thoughtfully relocated our patients out of harm’s way while continuin...g treatment at one of our local outpatient facilities. They put the safety and needs of the patients first, all while wondering if they would have homes to go back to. Early reports suggest that The Canyon has not suffered extreme damage resulting from the fires. However, our staff still cannot return to the property due to an ongoing evacuation order and other dangers. We will provide consistent updates as they become available. If you are seeking treatment please know our admissions center is continuing to help patients find treatment and can be reached at (844) 626-2622. All of us at The Canyon and Foundations Recovery Network send our thoughts and prayers to the staff and families of The Canyon, the first responders and all residents in Malibu who were affected.

"And rather than rehabilitating their torn-up knees and jacked-up backs properly, many resort to taking prescription pain medication for a quick turnaround, which can lead to long-term addiction involving opiates and other substances" https://bit.ly/2Ju2C5N
