19 years ago today, we had our 1st child, our son Cheufue William Thao. It's so crazy fast that 19 years has gone by in a flash. We are so grateful for him who has been a big supporter of our family business, day in and day out. We know more than often we are too busy for you and your siblings. Some Bakeries Are Closing It is with great sadness to hear that one of our favorite French master baker, Dominque Ansel, founder of the ever so popular cronut, has closed his bakery locations in London and Los Angeles. His location in New York remains open. This pandemic has not been kind to even the best but we are certain that Mr. Ansel’s return will be bigger and better. Many of you may know or heard of shops closing permanently. It’s a very sad thing to see dreams and yea...rs of hard work wiped away in a matter of weeks. It’s heart breaking. In our own shopping center, we have lost 3 local businesses since the pandemic. I believe 2 of them have been there for over a decade and likely much longer. Very sad and difficult to see them go after all those years of dedication and labor of love. If there is a local business that you like or love, please let them know. Support their business within your capacity or few words of encouragement during these difficult times will go a long way. With the near future being uncertain, you just never know who is next in the lineup of Covid-19 casualties. Unfortunately, it has been too many already. And if you’ve read this far, you must be a bit curious. The answer is yes. Yes, we remain open for all your favorite French Brioche needs at The Brioche Lady Bakery. Not So Bad Coffee Yes, we’ve got coffee too. I’m a big fan of it. I just love the smell & taste of it. Unlike many, caffeine has minimal effect on me. While traveling in France a few years back, my brother-in-law stoped at a café & got me a double shot French coffee. Minutes later he looked in the back seat of his car & was surprised that I was knocked out & napping. If coffee is your thing like it is mine, we’ve got some bean to cup Lavazza for ya.
