Secret's getting out. Many thanks to Brian van der Brug of LA Times for "diving in". https://www.google.com//tecopa-foodie-haven-hiking-hot-spr
I have been looking forward to making this event happen since August. It will be Dec 5,6,7 with 2 scheduled seatings each night. 6pm and 8pm for 12-15 people Mostly reservation based with only a few available seats for last minute guests. This will be a culinary journey guided by Junaid with stories and history to accompany the dishes. He is a delight to dine with. Please come celebrate his traditional family meals and flavors of a wonderfully presented cuisine from around ...the globe. "Junaid’s love for the dazzling variety of cuisines that humanity has created traces back to the Mosque where he and his family would go to break their fast during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Each night was like taking a culinary vacation as families from around the world would serve their very best dishes for the community. As a (mostly) grown up, Junaid has a deep appreciation for the connections that can be made and the fostering of community that inevitably grows from the simple act of sharing a lovingly prepared meal with friends and family, both new and well-aged. Junaid is excited to present a selection of Greek and mediterranean dishes that he hopes will provide the backdrop for an evening of conversation, laughter, gratitude, and connection." Tecopa Menu Table snacks - white bean hummus, tzatziki, baba ghanouj, olives, pita wedges, dolmas. Appetizer - Saganaki with fresh lemon juice and crostini. Salad course - Cucumber and tomato salad with feta, red onion, red peppers, olives, capers. Main platter - beef and lamb moussaka, roasted potatoes and vegetables with herbs. Dessert - traditional almond cookies.
