Fortunately, our staff member and family are getting through their experience of COVID-19 with mild symptoms. Our other staff have tested negative and it has been two weeks since the affected staff member was at the shop. Therefore, we deem it safe enough to reopen this Saturday, 11 am - 5 pm, and resuming our regular hours thereafter. As always, safety protocols will be in effect to minimize the chances of transmission. . As of today, the Bicycle Tree is temporarily closed. A family member of a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with their family and we hope their symptoms remain mild. While we’ve barely posted any photos all year, we have repaired over one thousand bikes brought in for service, and have refurbished hundreds more for sale or donation. While demand has slowed down after an overwhelming spring and summer, we’re still staying busy with repairs, organization, and cleaning. This just in; Governor Newsom issues executive order for renters affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. (See link for English) La orden ejecutiva del gobernador Ne...wsom prohibe desalojos por falta de pago debido a COVID-19 hasta el 31 de mayo 2020 en todo el estado. Pero el inqulinx sigue obligado a pagar la renta "de una manera oportuna y todavia podria enfrentar el desalojo despues de que se levante la suspecion de la ejecucion." Lo que necesitamos es un moratorio real de desalojos y rentas por el tiempo que dure la pandemia. No podemos pagar la renta si no podemos trabajar y no nos podemos quedar en casa si nos estan desalojando! Es importante revisar las leyes en tu ciudad.
