Upgraded a 1992 portrait. Feeling better about these changes.

Karumba, Calavera Masks! Might even be able to purchase one or several if you wish. Corner of 2nd and North Street. The spirits are wooing you.

The ART Experience 14.05.2022
Took a very late night walk through the fog down to the ocean after Thursday night's gig at the Siren in Morro Bay, California. The small town's streets were da...rk, deserted and silent except for the loud, eerie barking of the sea lions out on the rocks, and the gentle lapping of the waves onto the shore of the bay. I got to thinking of how incredibly fortunate I have been in a business (racket?) that is not known for bestowing fortune too often. Through the years I've somehow survived playing the semi-uncommercial music I've always wanted to play and I've gotten to play this music with great (and very patient) musicians who are better than I'll ever be. Another thing that makes me feel thankful is that I have a job where I can spend the early afternoon up in the mountains at one of the ancient, sacred painted caves (pictured) of the Chumash tribe. In the evening I got to blast some loud, sacred American music in a barroom for an appreciative crowd and finally end the night listening to the sea lions barking out their own old and sacred songs out in the fog and the black Pacific. Hope some of you will join Jimmie Dale, The Guilty Ones and I tonight (Friday) at one of my favorite venues anywhere, Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz. Until then, I'll just be out here in the fog and darkness listening to the sea lions. See more
