One of the reasons your lungs feel refreshed when walking through a pine forest is because of an anti-inflammatory compound called a-Pinene, found in conifers. ... It is used as a bronchodilator in the treatment of asthma and abundantly present in marijuana. Clinical studies have proven that 2 hours of nature sounds a day significantly reduced stress hormones up to 800% and activates 500-600 DNA segments known to be responsible for healing and repairing the body. Spending time outside makes us feel more alive. Nature is fuel for our soul and spending time in it increases our natural connection to all living things, including ourselves. It is here that we find the energy that is our natural state and as one that clears our minds, prevents disease, wards off fatigue, and keeps us happy, all while greatly deepening our connection to the divine. While connecting us deeply to source, being outside also greatly enhances our physical and mental energy. When we spend time outside we often find ourselves doing some kind of physical activity that we love. Whether it is running, riding a bike, surfing, skiing, or simply taking a walk through the woods or on the beach, exercise gets us outside, increases the flow of endorphins to the brain, and greatly improves overall physical health. Even if we are not outside exercising, we still greatly benefit from the energy found here. The brilliant light energy of sun kissed skies is excellent at elevating mood and literally connects us to the sun, the source of all existence of life on earth. When we are outside, we also connect deeply to our roots on this earth and all life our planet supports. From the trees, flowers, and animals to the oceans, rivers, and streams absolutely everything is connected, and all is part of pure source energy. When we take the time to step out into nature is when we are able to connect most deeply to this truth. A few walks a week could be the complete difference for any human being. Find a nature trail and get to hiking. Any activity outside is better than no activity at all. Sometimes enjoying the little things brings us great health. Now go outside and play!

The benefits of sunbathing Want to strengthen the body? Walk to the window every 2 hours, back facing the sun, and let the Sun shine your head, palm and legs, f...or 10 minutes. You may also walk under the Sun in the morning. The best part of sunbathing is the back. The back has the du meridian, which is the ‘sea of yang meridians’. These meridians control the yang ‘qi’ in the body. Du meridian and different meridians in the body intersect in many places. The sun shining on the back will stimulate the yang ‘qi’ in the human body, and show off the yang functions from the body. This way, we do not feel weak and we can overcome the cold and wet ‘qi’ and spread them out elsewhere. The head is essential to sunbathing too. It soothes numerous veins and adjusts yang ‘qi’. The head leads different ‘yang’ where the ‘yang’ gather, through the meeting of the blood of the five ‘zang’ and ‘qi’ of the six ‘fu’. The legs store positive energy and guards ‘qi’ to defend against cold weather. Zusanli acupoint below the ankle can regulate the spleen and the stomach. The palm, facing the Sun, is where laogong acupoint is. It releases pressure, relieves tiredness, promotes better sleep and strengthen the heart. Sunbathing the whole body, we can feel the warmth of the Sun, and absorb the yang ‘qi’ all around our body. To absorb more 'yang' qi, you may fry or roast ginger, make dried ginger, and cook with water and drink it. Dried ginger expels 'cold'. For child tuina, rubbing wailaogong may be suitable. 210
