A Free Concert, Rally and Campaign Launch for The California Cannabis Hemp Initiative 2016 Saturday, July 11, 11:30 AM to 7PM MLK Civic Center Park, Berkeley,... CA Featured Speakers are SF Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi , Dennis Peron, and Dan Herer The California Cannabis Hemp Initiative 2016 (CCHI 2016) and ALOTOFFUN Productions invites everyone to a free concert and political rally at MLK Civic Center Park in Berkeley, CA on Saturday, July 11 from 11:30 AM to 7 PM. This event will be the official kick-off of the CCHI 2016 campaign to throughly end Cannabis Hemp prohibition in California. The organization is seeking backing and volunteers to help with this effort. This special event continues the effort to mobilize and inform the public about qualifying the CCHI 2016 for the Nov. 8, 2016 California ballot. This special informational event is being held on Saturday, July 11, from 11:30 AM to 7PM. For more info: www.rallyforcchi2016.com The CCHI 2016 signature drive will begin begin in late Fall 2015 in which the CCHI 2016 will have 180 days to gather 600,000 signatures from registered Californian voters to qualify for the Nov 8, 2016 ballot. Speakers in support of qualifying the CCHI for the 2016 ballot include: Ross Mirkarimi: Sheriff of San Francisco Longtime proponent of Cannabis legalization, is scheduled to speak between 3-4 p.m (schedule permitting). Dennis Peron: American medical cannabis activist and author of "The Compassionate Use Act" (Prop 215) which legalized medical cannabis cultivation, possession, etc in November 1996. It was through Prop 215 which influenced many in California and thus changing the political debate of marijuana in the United States. Chris Conrad: Cannabis Expert and Author of "Hemp, the Lifeline to the Future," "Hemp for Health" and others. Chris is a court-qualified expert on on Cannabis Hemp and is sited in numerous Appellate decisions and at least one Supreme Court ruling. Dan Herer: Son of marijuana revolutionary Jack Herer, namesake of the CCHI2016 and Founder of Jack Herer Inc. Michael Jolson, an activist and proponent of CCHI 2016 said, "We are a grass roots organization seeking support from anyone who wants to help us end the prohibition of Cannabis Hemp in California. We need donations to pay for signature gatherers. Every dollar raised will be spent to gather signatures for this very important initiative, which is supported by 56% of Californians." Jolson continues, "This initiative will save and generate hundreds of millions of dollars, create thousands of jobs and create sustainable, ecological industries here in California This initiative can help create billions of dollars to our economy through the re-legalization of the Cannabis Hemp plant. This Initiative will help restore Cannabis Hemp as the Earth's premiere natural renewable resource." The launch of the campaign in Berkeley will also coincide with a southern California event, "Chalice California" in San Bernardino, CA, where CCHI 2016 will have a booth and will be seeking support.
