"Your story may end up looking very different from what you imagined. Be careful not to hold on so tight that you don’t let the beauty of your motherhood unfold. Let it breathe. Be flexible. Laugh and cry. Draw outside the lines. Dance often. And love fiercely." This article just came across my desk and it's so worth sharing! https://raisedgood.com/how-to-shame-proof-your-motherhood/

Greetings and Happy Monday! We really do aim to post more than just our classes but recently it's been a little overwhelming and distracting to simply open a social media platform. So today, rather than try to share birth and parenting information I'd like to simply remind you all to take a moment in your day or evening to pause and turn off the news. Take a tub or go outside and just breathe. Fill your cup when you can because you are doing the most important work ever - raising the next generation.

If you missed our live talk this past Saturday with Ashley Newton our conversation is now available via podcast! We had a delightful conversation about the importance of honoring the seasons with children. Ashley shared some resources for families looking for inspiration and we discussed a variety of ideas for honoring the solstice. Enjoy!! https://www.thenestfamilyresource.com//family-rituals-that

Join us Fridays at 2-3 for Repeaters (not your first baby). This group focuses mostly on early parenting and the challenges of caring for a new baby while also parenting older children. We'll share tips and parenting hacks but also process the emotions that arise when bringing in a new baby to your family. Parents can join at any stage although we will focus on babies and siblings who are 6 and under. This Nest gathering is a live Zoom chat each week. If you’re not already a part of the group and would like to join, leave a comment, message or email us or give a call 530-637-8411. We can make sure you have the link to join!!
