"If men want to oppose war, it is statism that they must oppose. So long as they hold the tribal notion that the individual is sacrificial fodder for the collec...tive, that some men have the right to rule others by force, and that some (any) alleged 'good' can justify it there can be no peace within a nation and no peace among nations." Ayn Rand 1905-1982

, ! There is a mixture of good news and bad coming out of New Zealand. First, the worst news of the night is that Jacinda Ardern's Labour Party will form another government. Ardern had been a rather incompetent leader and had previously put a racist, authoritarian in as her Deputy Prime Minister. And that brings us to some good news, that Deputy, Winston Peters, was chucked out by voters. Peters was the Trump of New Zealand, just not as much a patholog...ical liar but horrid in about every way imaginable. Peter's New Zealand First Party will have no seats in the new parliament and that is brilliant news. Equally good news is the libertarian ACT Party, under the leadership of David Seymour, has gained 10 seats in parliament, the most seats it has held in its history. Deputy ACT Leader Brooke Van Velden, who worked on the End of Life Choice Act will join him, along with Nicole McKee, a Mori activist for gun rights. McKee is a champion shooter and ran courses teaching gun safety. Two referendums were on the ballot. Seymour's End of Life Choice Act, which would legalize assisted suicide for the terminally ill was put to a vote along with a measure to legalize marijuana. Election results prioritize the party votes and votes on these measures will follow. https://www.nzherald.co.nz//ele/J5W4CKASPRFUAGY6SRGCRO526Y

The Juvenile-in-Chief had another meltdown on Twitter over more fake news. This is a man who attacks truth as "fake" and reports the fake as truth. He is mentally unable to distinguish them. If it affirms him and his lust for power it's true to him and if it contradicts his lies or grandiose assertions it's fake, as far as he is concerned. And about the only people blind enough to believe him are his cult followers who think he's 3 of Jesus rolled up in one Orange blob of ign...orance. Baby Donny tweeted that Twitter was shutting down it's network to "slow spread of negative Biden news." This shows the level of intelligence the buffoon has, he tweeted that Twitter wasn't working, something you can't do if Twitter isn't working. As USA Today reported: "President Donald Trump on Friday morning tweeted a link to an unapologetically fake news website, appearing to share the satirical story in earnest." It really is a race to see whose dumberTrump or the people who believe him.

Prof. Howard Forman, a health policy academic at Yale University, has been following the effectiveness of various strategies to combat Covid-19. He makes an important point for the advocates of "herd immunity." The term itself is a relatively new one and came into existence to describe what vaccines have done but never to describe a natural response to infections. The reason it never existed before is because natural "herd immunity" has NEVER happened. Prof. Forman said, " th...ere’s never been a real case of herd immunity through infection." He notes the "term itself didn’t arise until just a few decades ago, when we had vaccination programs. There are cases where, as large waves of infection passed through communities, you had lower levels of outbreak in most years, and then you would have epidemic outbreaks other years. That probably is the closest thing, but that’s not herd immunity. You’re still having outbreaks all the time. You’re just having bigger waves and smaller waves."
