I finally have a sign out front! Only took 2 years....

Two years ago tomorrow, I opened The Male Room and became Business Owner. This experience has exceeded everything I ever dreamed I was capable of achieving! Is this a scary time to be a business owner? Yes. Am I afraid? NO. Because, 1) I’ve learned that fear is a blockage to manifesting your dreams, and 2) I don’t see The Male Room as just a business - it is a living, breathing organism like myself. It will grow, evolve, redefine itself, and survive the challenges this... new world presents. I KNOW it will! Well, this is interesting. I’m not quite sure how to think or feel about it. The sheriff’s saying they won’t prosecute businesses who defy the health department order. The business owner in me thinks it sounds nice, but the rational part of me is wondering if this will blow up in the faces of those who attempt it... I guess we’ll see.... SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS!

As a one-chair salon, I share this woman’s opinion that we can operate safely. It’s a little frustrating to be lumped in with other, bigger salons and be considered high risk. But this is how it is and I understand where both my fellow barbers/stylists and the officials are coming from. Strange times. Can’t wait to SAFELY reopen!

Take your daughter to work day .... one of the best things about owning your own business is the flexibility it provides. My sweet girl is sick with cancer and today, I was able to bring her with me to the shop so I could take her straight to her vet appointment for treatment.
