The Long Haul Infoshop 20.02.2021

UC Berkeley students are occupying People’s Park to stop the university from building a dorm. So Long Haul is printing People’s Park shirts. Here’s the batch from last night. Some of the students are going to get trained to screen print with the silk screens pictured. Now is a good time to drop by the park to check out the occupation - it is definitely not your grandparents People’s Park. The students are way more diverse than it was in the old days. They have strung hammocks between the trees. Similar to Occupy Oakland they have a supply tent and a food table and medics and security etc.

When the pandemic is finally over there will be a huge pent-up demand for activity. Radical projects are laying plans now so the new normal focuses on community not commerce, mutual aid, cooperation and sharing not the same old rat race. Contact Long Haul if you have ideas for projects, events or activities... until then, it was fun printing 59 patches on Sunday
