BE ENCOURAGED, Today is an important day. "This is the day that the Lord has made. So, we get to choose to celebrate Him and appreciate all that is going well. I know many friends right now that are suffering from health and emotional pain. It’s hard to see them struggle, very hard, and yet I am captivated by their courage and faith. I have learned that we have a profound choice to make in the face of adversity, trust God, or shrink back in fear. There is a major difference depending on the mindset we choose. As a counselor, I have seen the difference that choice makes. I encourage you today, trust God and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Doug.

Who knew that when we excitedly entered the new year the changes that 2020 would bring? We have all been launched into seasons of change. To our beloved Heart 2 Heart Marriages and Life Bridge Community, We began in May of 2016 with the hope of not only coming alongside an already beautiful ministry team at The Life Bridge Ministries and Heart 2 Heart Marriages; helping to restore hearts and release the adventure of destiny in marriages, but to add our calling of bringing co...uples together in community; creating a space for them to make like minded friends and to develop deep relationships. Over the last four plus years, we have been privileged to see all these things come to fruition. We were given the amazing opportunity to see God do deep work in the lives and hearts of many couples, allowing them to walk in their God given destiny with freedom, creating a godly legacy; while marriage bonds were strengthened, and friendship bonds were created. As our time on staff has come to an end, we are forever grateful to God, Doug and Shari and you for the opportunity to serve. We look forward to our new season of focusing on our family and church community; continuing always as members of the body of Christ; with you, our dear friends. My opinion is sacred. Really? We live in an age that believes that the above statement is true. We are obsessed with or own opinions so much that we are threatened by those who hold an opposing opinion. When others disagree with us we have a list of derogatory names we call them. It's a verbal way of spitting on people who don't agree with us. What we need more than ever is the opportunity for rigorous discussion grounded in respect for each other with the freedom to disagre...e with each other's opinions. There are people who have asked me my opinion on things and before I can finish my answer they are attacking me. If you ask me my opinion I'm going to tell you. If you insist on attacking me for having an opposing view then don't ask me what I think. We learn from discussion and debate. Free societies and the Christian faith is based on this. The beliefs, opinions, and perspectives we choose have consequences. They should be tested and tempered in the crucible of debate and discussion. 13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. 14 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself.[c] 15 But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Our next stop in the celebration of The Life Bridge Ministries and Heart 2 Heart Marriages is Transforming Prayer Ministry. Over 20 years ago Doug Tawlks and his friend, Dave Miller went to the mountains for a weekend with another friend; while there, they took turns praying for each other. It was the beginning of an incredible journey that would lead to praying for thousands of people, hundreds of hours of research and training and building our first Prayer Team. When we are bombarded daily by negative news and events it can be difficult to keep things in a positive perspective, but we must. God has been reminding me lately that He sees the big picture, and that he is blessing me moment by moment in ways that I am unaware of. So when I choose to redirect my thinking to this most excellent truth it makes all the difference.
