The Pacifica High School football team will be celebrated at various events throughout the City of Oxnard this week in honor of its recent State championship. Pacifica High became Ventura County’s first public school to win a State football championship during an impressive 34-6 victory over Oakland-McClymonds this past Saturday, Dec. 14 during the CIF Division 2-A State championship bowl at Cerritos College. On Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 4:30 p.m. a Championship Procession will b...e guided by Oxnard police and fire personnel to provide a personal escort for the team to the Oxnard Union High School District Board meeting, where the Tritons will be recognized by the School Board. The procession will go through several neighborhoods including Wilson Neighborhood on F street and G street. The public is invited to come out and cheer on the champions as they pass by. See more
