Has anyone these days taken up decluttering? I've been on a mission. Some days are better than others when I don't get distracted by HGTV and decide to take on a completely different home project. They make it seem so easy in under half hour which is what it usually takes to watch a whole episode of some sort on that network. I usually wind it back and get back to decluttering, and can I say it feels SOOO GOOD!!!... I was given this book nearly 4 years ago. I must admit when I was first given this book I was a bit offended (mainly because of the tittle and the fact that I wasn't the person who originally picked it up), but ever since I keep going back to it. This beautiful author has changed my life and my tidying days have become more enjoyable because of it. On the plus side, its a quick read, which helps when you are busy keeping up with a 4 year old. Hi there I know it’s been a while since I’ve popped in and said hi , but this quarantine business has really got me forgetting even what day we are on. Who else feels even though you have all the time in the world right now that the days suddenly go by so fast that you wake up the next day wondering where yesterday went? ... During this time (like much of you out there), I had a small case of depression set in at first, then I snapped out of it remembering that God is good and we will all get through this stronger. Then my chef skills started to improve, I took up gardening with the help of my husband and my mothers green thumb and knowledge Fingers crossed that those little itty bitty plants blossom and bare much fruit. I also followed by some much needed me time, prayer, and meditation practice. Oh, and I can’t leave out how enriching it has been spending some extra time with my lovely 4 year old boy. I can’t say enough about how much I miss my clients and the fun loving conversations I get to have with them while they sit in my chair. I miss being able to put my hands in my lovely clients hair and being able to be creative with the talents that God has given me. The feeling I get when I walk into the salon on those lovely days when I get to work along side my very talented, very kind, awesome coworkers. As we continue to shelter in, I’m reminding myself daily to embrace the time we are in, to love each other, and to be patient. This time among the storm is a blessing if you choose to look at it. God wouldn’t have allowed it if wasn’t for us to come out stronger than what we were. #SonomaCounty we have gone through a lot these past few years, but it has made us more resilient. Keep the joy, no one can rob you of that. Be safe, worry less but be smart, smile more underneath your mask, stay well.
