For many years, the TWCC has proudly supported the Penny Pines Plantation program for our California national forests. This year, we specified the Los Padres National Forest to be the recipient, due to all the fires that took place there this past summer. $68 covers the cost of planting seedlings on an acre of national forest land- we paid for 2 acres! TWCC just passed a motion to support the Adopt-a-Condor program at Ventana Wildlife Society. Sadly, the Dolan Fire in Big Sur destroyed the Condors' Sanctuary on August 20-21, 2020. 2 chicks perished and 9 condors are still missing. $125 purchases an adoption kit.
