Today we stand with the Metastatic Breast Cancer community. An estimated 154,000+ women are currently living with metastatic breast cancer in the United States. While this disease is terminal and cannot be cured, it is not hopeless. Because of improved treatments many women can live long, productive lives for many years with this type of cancer. There are a wide variety of treatment options and new medicines are being tested every day.

After skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men. In its early stages, there are generally no signs of prostate cancer. The most effective way to find it early is through regular screening with your physician who will test your PSA levels. Celebrating Women in Radiology History. Elizabeth Fleischman is continually remembered as one of the first women pioneers in radiology. Dedicating her life to radiology, in 1897 Fleischmann opened California's very first X-ray laboratory, making her the first radiographer in the state. Also providing radiology services to the US Army, she was praised for her talented skills and complimented in many medical and scientific journals. She paved the way for many women after her in the medical field. Thank you for your contribution to radiology.

We could all use some extra pawsitivity today Study after study has shown that owning a pet like a dog can help you to maintain a more positive optimistic perspective on life and what you're faced with. Better yet, they can even lessen the symptoms of depression and anxiety. What a great way to start the week, happy National Puppy Day!
