For those of you that have Windows 8.X or Windows 10 be aware that there is a virus program built in called Windows Defender and should be watching for viruses in the background. You can save a little money by not putting another one on your PC. To check if your Windows Defender is working go to the Main tile screen (Metro) and just start typing "Defender", you shoud see Windows Defender over on the right pop up. Click on it and it should open the program. Go to the update tab and see if it is up to date. That it for now.

Another program I can't live without is Keepass at http://keepass.info. Imagine having all your passwords in one location and only needing one master password to get any of your hundreds of other ones. I've been using it since Windows 95 and it still works even on Windows 10. Make sure to download the latest Professional Edition from the downloads screen. It is easy to install and if anybody needs help let me know.

Ok, seeing if you guys read these. The next tip I have is a drop down icon menu that reminds me of the Apple one that runs along the bottom of the screen. It's called Rocketdock and can be found here http://punklabs.com. I have been using it for years and it is the best way to keep your desktop from getting out of control. It works on Windows 7,8 & 10.

Tip for Today: If you have pets and your computer is on the floor find a way to get it up off the floor about 6 inches. This will help keep dust and pet hair out of the computer. The PC fans are sucking in everything.
