Happy July 4th to all Teaway fans! Did you know? 76 million Americans will celebrate the 4th with a barbecue.... It’s estimated that 155 million hot dogs will be consumed today. That’s enough wieners to stretch five times from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. 700 million pounds of chicken is purchased the week prior to the 4th.

Did you know? One cup of white tea contains the same amount of antioxidants as 10 cups of apple juice.
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water. An average three billion cups of tea are consumed daily worldwide. Tea, and in particular white and green tea, is praised for its many health benefits, including antibiotic effects, anti-cancer properties, boosting of the immune system, lowering of cholesterol levels and improvement of cardiovascular health.
The most expensive tea in the world is grown in the mountains of Ya’An in the Sichuan province of China. Workers fertilize the tea bushes using the waste from local pandas whose bodies take in only a small amount of nutrients from the food they eat. The tea costs the equivalent of around $200 for a small cup.
Infusing Tea with Jasmine Did you know that we can only infuse our Jasmine Petal tea with jasmine petals during the night? Because jasmine flowers are so much more fragrant at night, we lay them over our green tea for three evenings in a row, so that the green tea will absorb the most powerful floral flavor and aroma.
Come & visit :) thirsty? Hungry? Haha lol
Interesting fact about Tea: Tea (except herbal teas, which are not really tea at all) is made from the Camellia Sinensis plant. Black tea, green tea and oolong tea are all made from leaves plucked from the same tea bushes, but they undergo different processes to provide specific styles of beverage. Black tea is allowed to ferment, oolong is semifermented and green tea is unfermented. White tea is also unfermented and comes from the same bush, but is taken from the unopened buds of the tea bush.
