Carbohydrates (CHO for short) are one of three energy sources we consume in our foods; the other two are Protein & Fat. When ingested our bodies break it down to glucose (simplest form of sugar). Two types of CHO; simple and complex. We need to limit simple (refined) CHO and increase Complex CHO. However, we should not go crazy and over do these either, its still CHO. Complex, also include starchy vegetables (high caloric), which should be consumed responsibly. ...............................
