It is a bittersweet farewell. After 3 years and six months, Trinitea Tea has decided to discontinue open mic until further notice. Johnny has been hosting this show since it started. "I enjoyed sharing Monday nights with you all for the last 3 and a half years. I am looking forward to whatever is next, and I'm sure I'll see a lot of you around the scene. I am especially privileged to have met and listened to so many talented people, many of whom have become friends of mine. Best wishes to everyone." There will be no open mic at Trinitea this week, and from now on, until further notice. Johnny back when the open mic started in 2014

Once again Johnny is pleased to welcome back Edward Alvarez as special guest tomorrow night Saturday July 8 2017 at Bugsy's in La Mesa. The fun starts at 7pm. Uncle Bri will also perform with Johnny on the later set. Show goes to 10pm. 8759 La Mesa Blvd in La Mesa. See you there!

This Saturday June 24th at Bugsy's, Johnny's special guest is the gifted singer songwriter Vinny Dee. He will perform a set that will include some of his originals along with some of his favorite cover versions. He was first spotted at the Trinitea Tea Lounge open mic and Johnny liked Vinny's performance a lot and wanted to hear a longer set. Vinny will start his set at 745pm Saturday night. Saturday June 17 2017 Bugsy's Brew Coffee 8759 La Mesa Blvd in La Mesa Bob Warren is Johnny's special guest. show starts at 7pm, Bob goes on at 745pm.... Johnny will open and close the show. Bob Warren is one of San Diego's best songwriters. He is also a great singer, recording artist, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist. His live performance is not to be missed. Hope ya can join us! Tomorrow night, Saturday June 10th, Johnny is pleased to welcome Laurence Sinclair as his special guest at Bugsy's BREW Coffee. Mr Sinclair is a gifted singer guitarist and songwriter. His singing reminds Johnny of Ray Charles Otis Redding and Sam Cooke put together into one voice. Laurence will present a selection of covers and originals at 745pm. Hey everybody... Johnny has something a little different up his sleeve for this Saturday May 27th at Bugsy's. Johnny will play the 1st half of the show alone and after a brief intermission, Johnny will play the rest of the night joined by his longtime lead guitarist Brian. Brian is camera shy so there are no available photos of Brian. The fun starts at about 7pm and Brian will be joining Johnny at around half past 8. Hope y'all can be there! This Saturday at Bugsy's, Edward Alvarez will again be Johnny's special guest. Edward will sing some great songs in his distinctive style and will blow your mind with his psychedelic guitar loops. Meanwhile, Johnny is mining top forty gold and featuring his renditions of new favorites from the likes of Halsey, Drake, Chainsmokers, Alessia Cara, and Bruno... Along with other favorite hits from the last couple of years. Johnny will kick off the show around 7pm. Edward will do his set at 8pm, and Johnny will play another set after Edward. People of great talent always seem to have a great downfall. Ben Jammin', as those of us who know and sort of love him call him, is no exception. Hank Brown is a singer-songwriter. He plays an eclectic mix from Americana to the American Songbook. Hank will be Johnny's special guest this Saturday night April 29th. Hank has fronted several bands over the years, including his current act, the Barnyard Casanovas. This Saturday Hank Brown will be playing a collection of love songs, both originals and covers, along with a few surprises. Johnny will open the show around 7pm and Hank will do his set at around 745pm. After Hank Brown is finished, Johnny will sing again for another hour or so. Including a stab at Bruno Mars' romantic fantasy "That's what I like". It might be the only time Johnny will ever sing that song in public...
