One of the many things I about children’s ministry is getting cards & notes from the kids. This one included a drawing of me that pegged me perfectly!

We all know the many Christmas Carols we sing during this season but do we REALLY know them? In today's "CaNceL CuLtuRe", we need to make sure we know what we're singing about. It's time for some in depth Fact Checking of some Christmas Songs with Pastor Raymond Gregory and the Calvary Chapel East Anaheim AdventureKids Fact Checkers By the way...several of these "Fact Checkers are in my 5th/6th Grade Sunday School class. And 2 are my grandkids. They're awesome!

In today's StoryTime, we have some special guests reading a story about the 1st Christmas when the baby Jesus came into the world.

Teacher Ray 30.11.2020

Today for StoryTime, Teacher Ray read the all time favorite story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. It reminds us all that Christmas isn't about the presents, nor the decorations...it's about celebrating the love that came down to us all from God when He sent His only Son, Jesus to take the penalty for all our sins. When we see the decorations, when we give and receive gifts, and when we sing the Christmas songs...we remember the Greatest Gift given to us all. ...The Gift of Salvation through Jesus. Typically, StoryTime is in person at 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday at The Space, the awesome new cafe-meeting-hangin place at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California. We have worship songs with Mrs. Cathy and a puppet show. Then after, we do crafts with Miss Hannah. BUT...since we're all pretty much at home now and The Space is CLOSED! We can have StoryTime right here! I know, I know...it's not as fun. BUT...Hopefully and prayerfully we'll be back in-person soon!

Today, Teacher Ray takes a question from a viewer and answer's the question, Who made Christmas by reading the book: God Gave Us Christmas by Lisa Tawn Bergren and artwork by David Hohn

Today we hear a story about a Llama that wasn't too keen on sharing with a Gnu friend. But in the end...it's all good. Teacher Ray reads the story "Llama Llama Time To Share" by Anna Dewdney. It helps us all remember that Jesus gives His love to us and we should share His love to others. #storytime

Today on Voting Day, it's a book about telling the truth. For StoryTime, Teacher Ray reads The Berenstain Bears and The Truth by Stan & Jan Berenstain. This is a classic and reminds us all not to tell lies. Trust is important and the bible tells us not to lie. It also tells us in Proverbs 3:5 to "Trust in the Lord..." Typically, StoryTime is in person at 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday at The Space, the awesome new cafe-meeting-hangin place at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California. We have worship songs with Ms. Cathy and a puppet show. Then after, we do crafts with Miss Hannah. BUT...since we're all pretty much at home and The Space is CLOSED! We can have StoryTime right here! Hopefully and prayerfully we'll be back in-person soon!

Do you like candy canes? Today, Teacher Ray reads a very special book about the candy cane and how it might have begun. Today's story is The Legend of the Candy Cane written by Lori Walburg & illustrated by Richard Cowdrey. It's an inspirational story about the origin of our favorite Christmas candy. Typically, StoryTime is in person at 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday at The Space, the awesome new cafe-meeting-hangin place at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California. Have you ever taken something special to school for Show & Tell? It can be fun to take your favorite thing or pet and talk to the other school kids about it. BUT...a dinosaur is probably NOT the best thing to take. In today's story, we hear about a boy who took his Pterodactyl to school and it didn't go all that well. Today's story is "Pterodactyl Show and Tell, written by Thad Krasnesky and illustrated by Tanya Leonello #teacherray

Thanksgiving Day is just a few days away. What better way to celebrate than to read the story of the 1st Bear's Thanksgiving when they sailed on the Bearflower to land at Bear Rock, where they met the Native Bears. Of course, I'm referring to The Berenstain Bears book, Thanksgiving Blessings written by Mike Berenstain. Typically, StoryTime is in person at 10:00 a.m. every Tuesday at The Space, the awesome new cafe-meeting-hangin place at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California. We have worship songs with Ms. Cathy and a puppet show. Then after, we do crafts with Miss Hannah. BUT...since we're all pretty much at home now and The Space is CLOSED!
