Another year has arrived for the Club to help out at the Covina Christmas Parade. W6C will be on the air, again!

I am saddened to learn of the passing of member Jim Breshears, N6XCR. He passed away on November 23 according to Bruce Nolte, N1BN of the Pasadena Radio Club where Jim was a member before coming to TCARA. He was a general class licensee and enjoyed our meetings. Though visually impaired, he worked hard to stay abreast of the latest in ham radio and had equipment that he could use at home. The service for him will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park. 3889 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, Ca on Thursday, December 6 at 11 AM. Jim will certainly will be missed.

Thanks Doug Barcon for a very detailed presentation to TCARA yesterday. The science of working with all of the different battery types is important to hams to keep equipment at peak performance and reduce expense. We've had a string of very interesting presentations, some from Richard Pryor, who also happens to be our Program Chairman. Thanks to all who make this club "sing"....... Figuratively.
