Shabbat Shalom! Services schedule this weekend This evening (Friday, February 12) at 7:00pm Shabbat Service with Cantor Reinwald and Rabbi Donnell. ... This week's service will only be available via Facebook Live. Rabbi Donnell's sermon is titled "Good Things Come in Threes" Every Shabbat is sacred; each one is special. But this Shabbat is marked by not one, not two, but three distinctions that make this Shabbat unique. First, this week’s Torah portion brings us an important message about the importance of details. Second, this Shabbat coincides with the new month of Adar, the happiest Hebrew month. And third, this Shabbat is Shabbat Shekalim, with a special additional Torah reading to begin our preparations for the advent of Passover. This week’s sermon will bring these three distinctions together into one message with special meaning for today. Tomorrow, Saturday, February 13 9:15 am - Torah Study via Zoom For Havdalah this week, feel free to peruse the many Havdalah services archived on the TBS Facebook page or explore this resource and lead Havdalah on your own at home.

TBS is proud to announce that our next Social Action/Justice program will support Casa Teresa; a residence for homeless pregnant women. Currently, 20 women reside in two homes; one for women who are pregnant and the other for new moms and their babies. Prior to Covid, Mitzvah Meals provided food for the residents. Now we' plan on spreading some good during the upcoming holidays season. Check out more details and how you can help at tbsoc.com/casateresa

Please join us on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd at 7 pm in reading the next TBS book club selection, led by Mandy Shamis and Soni Sanberg, discussing "To the Edge of Sorrow" by Aharon Appelfeld, a book recently translated from Hebrew, about a group of Jewish resistance fighters hiding in a Ukrainian forest during the Holocaust. Told by a 17-year old boy who has joined the group, the novel is a moving story about forging a community during the darkest times. What it means to be Jewish, how to combine various political ideals of mysticism, communism and more are the subjects of this moving book.
