This past Sunday, October 22, 2017, Thai Government Officials and members of the local Thai community in Los Angeles gathered together at the Wat Thai Temple in North Hollywood to celebrate the King Chulalongkorn Day or known to Thais as Wan Piyahmaharaj Day. The national holiday is celebrated every year on October 23 and serves as a memorial day for the passing of King Chulalongkorn who led several reforms in Thailand in areas such as Thai educational system, military affairs, and and much more.
