"Hi my name is Ashley, I’m in the 7th grade. I’ve been in TKF for the past two years. I was part of the TKF curriculum and Peace Club. I had the amazing opportunity to have a TKF mentor at my school. Ms. Rocio is my mentor. Ms. Rocio has helped me solve friend issues and led me through middle school these last two years. Being in TKF allowed me to make new friends. When I first joined TKF I was shy and didn’t have many friends but now I’m confident and have lots of friends. T...KF was a comfort zone for me because Ms. Rocio was always there for me. She supported me and helped me out when I was having a tough day at school. The confidence that TKF has helped me built has allowed me to speak my mind and stand up for myself. I’d like to base my confidence off of this quote 'Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.' Ms. Rocio helped bring out the best in me. I will deeply miss my mentor next year when I am in the 8th grade, but I will always have a part of her with me because of the impact she has made on my life. I will use the advice she gave me for the rest of my life. I will never forget my TKF mentor, Ms. Rocio." TKF’s Restorative Workshop has a lasting effect on our kids! These 10-session social/emotional workshops cover restorative practices, peace, and forgiveness.
