You have dealt with HORMONES. You have dealt with STRESS. ... Stop beating yourself up if those damn American Eagle Size 2 jeans you wore years ago don’t fit anymore. Embrace the extra curves you have, the stretch marks , the little extra you might have. LOVE YOUR BODY right now in this journey. Treat it right. Channeling energy somewhere in between Olivia Newton John in the final scene of Grease, and I am woman hear me roar, proudly plus size edition. I used to think feeling healthy and strong was only body related. I didn’t realize it was also mental. I used to correlate sharing my body and workouts to only wanting to be ‘skinny’ and losing weight instead of understanding the connection to wanting to be strong and fit for the right reasons. ... I’m learning to move my body in new ways. I’m learning to workout with intention, not out of guilt, shame or embarrassment. I’m learning to meet myself in the mess, to let go of the struggle and embrace with ease even when it’s hard.
