@SenatorFeinstein & @SenatorKamalaHarris: Demand for mental health care is growing amongst the Medicare population, and allowing MFTs to serve as Medicare providers and treat this population can be a part of the solution. Adding MFTs as Medicare providers will not only increase access to mental health care, but will also result in savings to the Medicare program by providing Medicare beneficiaries with a lower-cost mental health care option and beneficial alternative to costly in-patient services. (In 2011, 1.1 million cases in the emergency room resulted in a mental health diagnosis!) #MedicareNeedsMFTs #CAMFT
