Have you ever wanted to be fearlessly and shamelessly you? But then fear or shame sneaks in? I deal with all that jazz on a semi-regular basis. And maybe fear and shame seem like strong words/feelings/descriptors. Sometimes it's much more subtle like doubt, second-guessing, insecurity, people pleasing, hesitation...... I absolutely adore who I was created to be! But, there are days that being me seems like a tricky misfit that I somehow don't know what to do with. are you you? Is that a challenge sometimes? Even just saying these things out loud they seem to loose their grip and I gain much needed perspective. #letstakedelight

HAPPIEST SECOND ANNIVERSARY to my bestie sister twin and her hubs! (a day late bc I went sailing for the first time yesterday and kept my phone tucked away ) She and her hubs have been living on the east coast since they got married and although we spend countless hours on Marco Polo I still miss her bunches. Also, I feel like photographing their wedding was just the other day but also, is it winter out? I can't tell what time of day it is with the smoke filled skies here in... California Anyone else totally without bearings on time/season/the year flying by because of all things social distancing/shelter in placing? I’ve been catching myself saying 'a couple months ago' but I really mean February, or last November. #letstakedelight

Couldn't be happier with my first creative photo shoot since...well way too long. It’s always a delightful surprise what the final visual becomes and it can really only develop as things get going. I've tried to plan out concepts and visuals for what the shoot is going to look like, and then it just stresses me the F out and my husband has to talk me down to earth where I belong.... When he tells me how good I am at NOT knowing exactly what is going to happen and that that's how I thrive...oh the heart eyes, he's so good for me. For some of us, this conversation will be truly uncomfortable. For some of us, this isn't uncomfortable enough. Wherever you are on the continuum that is having your eyes opened to the racial realities of being Black in America, I hope you stay.... Stay long enough to let the discomfort, defense-mechanisms, denials, and uncertainties fade to the background so that your heart can come alive enough to engage with the awakening.

Today was a greeaatttt day for the Crandall family! Today they had their 7-piece heirloom gallery installed. I did kick them out of their own home for a couple hours, but based on the looks on their faces when they walked back in - with a complete, professional, perfectly spaced gallery - they didn’t mind one bit.... I’m so glad you came in to install this because we probably wouldn’t have gotten around to it for another few months. We’re really good procrastinators. And it’s so perfect and you’re the professional - this is just so beautiful. - Mrs. Crandall Let’s. Take. Delight!
