We've shipped to states near and far. We've made it into hospitals, police stations, schools, and grocery stores. And we've even been reviewed on Facebook by Big Daddy Jason Druten. Masks, Masks, Masks... This pandemic has thrown a monkey wrench into the plans of businesses everywhere. In order to keep their heads above water, companies are changing directions and entering markets they never thought they'd see themselves in. We found ourselves in that very position. With employees wanting to continue working, we moved our industrial sewing machines into the sewers homes, but that was only half the battle. What do we do next???When it became mandatory ...to wear masks we were ready to go with our own filtered masks made right here in Southern California. Quality masks, made from those that know how to sew. We've seen masks claiming to be "Made in the USA" only to read the fine print and find that "delays in customs could delay your delivery". We've seen masks stitched horribly and selling for twice the price and masks for half the price only to find they are a single layer of cotton fabric. Our masks are: 1) Triple Layer 2) Include a moisture resistant internal Layer 3) Lined with 100% Cotton 4) Reusable 5) Ear Loops w/ Ear Saver Ties 6) Multiple sizes including sizes for children 7) Cut and Sewn right here in Southern California The demand for our masks has been more than we anticipated. We are stitching and delivering masks as quickly as possible. Estimated at about 1 week turnaround. There will be no "delays in customs" because nothing is coming in from outside the USA. Don’t get caught without a mask. Most cities are now requiring them. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. We are a small business located in Torrance. We have 11 employees and rather than shut down, we’ve circled the wagons to figure out how to stay in business and keep our workers employed. After all, people are the life of any business. So we’re moving into the mask world. Last week we delivered 100 masks, because that’s all the materials we had on hand. We manage...d to secure enough materials for another batch of masks this week and have more materials on order being delivered this week. Our masks are $12. They are washable, triple layered (swimwear fabric shell, lint free moisture resistant internal layer, and a 100% cotton inner layer against the face), ear loops, and a tie which act as ear savers. The masks are styled after the 3M disposable surgical masks. We have a regular size which is comparable to the 3M masks, we have a larger size which fits men with small beards, and we have two kids sizes (youth and toddler). These masks are not FDA or OSHA approved as required for medical use. Support your local businesses. We said goodbye to one of our sewers today. Lalo came to us 2.5 years ago when he reached out to our production manager looking for a job. I'm embarrassed for our industry... "The Department of Labor discovered labor violations at 85% of the factories it visited during that four-month period and ordered the suppliers to pay $1.3 million in back wages, lost overtime and damages but it couldn’t touch the brands." 85% is an incredibly large number.
