I have been working with the Chef for a while now trying to get him to add more vegan items to our menu. We were able to create and all vegan dining out event on Wednesday May 29th at 6pm. Space is limited to 30 guests and tickets are $40.00 which includes a three course vegan meal, soft drink or tea, tax and gratuity. You can purchase your tickets here if you would like to join me!

Yesterday was one of the hardest days in Sweet Souls Foundation. Unfortunately we suddenly lost one of our longest resident cats, Jude. He was loved by so many. He struggled with what was believed to be irritable bowel disease for most of his life. He could never gain weight despite the constant efforts of his loving foster mom. He was never really considered available for adoption because we could never get his condition under control. He found his home in the foster homes t...hat he had and even though we wish he could have experienced his forever home one day, we know he knew love. He was one of the sweetest souls we have ever come across, he even gave kisses on the lips and his foster mom, Raquel, kissed him everyday. Jude was definitely a special kitty. He finally started to come around and we thought we might have been seeing some results from new treatment options we had started. He was so happy, playful, and full of energy just like a kitten. He was eating well and his diarrhea was finally under control. We were so hopeful that this was his time to finally get well. But unfortunately yesterday morning he was suddenly unable to walk. We rushed him to the vet only to discover that he had suffered a thromboembolism and he was not going to make it. This hit us all like a ton of bricks and we are still in disbelief. For his sake, we made the very difficult decision to humanely euthanize him to end his pain. The sweetest souls we’ve ever know has left this cruel world. He leaves behind his best kitty friend, Romeo and so so many people who loved him dearly. We are so sorry Jude. See more
