Silicon Valley Second School Welcome to our chess program for children at unbeatable rates! Take advantage and let your child to be introduced to the wonderful world of chess!... This program is designed for beginners, 7-10 years old. Our experienced coach Mr. Raphael Yelluas will introduce the most essential and necessary knowledge, that will allow children to start their tournament activity. Openings, tactics, strategy, endgames. Examples of the greatest games played by World Champions and other great players. Exercises, problems, supervised practice games/tournaments and corrections of common mistakes. Homework. After the program is over, your child can start to participate in local rated chess tournaments. We expect family members to help children with homework. Chess is proved to be the best tool to improve ability to make independent decisions, use analytic judgements, manage your time, and greatly helps to build self esteem and successful academic improvement.
